Kelvin Sparks Reviews The Big Shot Squirting Dildo

Review: Evolved Novelties Big Shot Dildo

I’ve wanted an ejaculating dildo as long as I’ve known they’re a thing that exists. While I’m happy having regular strap-on sex, part of me has always wanted to be able to come in my partner, so ejaculating dildos seem like a match made in heaven.

The problem, however, is that there aren’t that many body safe ejaculating dildos. Many ejaculating dildos are made from PVC, an inherently porous material even if a toy doesn’t contain phthalates. There are a handful of silicone ejaculating dildos out there, like the POP By Semenette, but the Big Shot Squirting Dildo by Evolved Novelties is the cheapest and simplest ejaculating silicone dildo I’ve seen, at almost $70 less than the POP.

Big Shot Silicone Vibrating Squirting Dildo

The price tag isn’t the only plus in the Big Shot’s favour, however. The ejaculation reservoir is easier to use and clean than tube and bulb systems and the Big Shot also has a vibration function. It’s harness compatible (more on this later) and anal safe. Unfortunately, the Big Shot only comes in one colour- a skin tone I like to call ‘White People Beige’.

The Big Shot isn’t huge, with an insertable length of just 6 inches. However, because of the firmness of this dildo, I think the size is understandable. It’s incredibly firm due to the reservoir in the dildo body- almost rock solid. The vein texture is really pronounced and noticeable in use, and I genuinely don’t think I could take a dildo this firm if it was any bigger.

The Big Shot is controlled by two buttons, one for vibration, and the other one for squirting. The button closer to the balls controls ejaculation, while the one further up the shaft controls vibration. If the reservoir at the back is filled up (with water, a water based lube, or with a hybrid lubricant for a more realistic ejaculate) and the button nearer the balls is pressed, the water/lube squirts out. While there’s about one ejaculation’s worth per time the reservoir is filled (lasting about 3-5 seconds, depending on how viscous the liquid is) I did some experimentation and found that it is possible to drip the liquid out bit by bit.

The ejaculating feature on the Big Shot reminds me a bit of water pistols, especially when used with water. With lubes (I’ve tried SUTIL Rich and Sliquid Silk) it’s a less forceful ‘pop’, and more of a slower ooze. I actually prefer the slower ejaculation with thicker lubes, especially because I’ve mostly utilised this feature by ejaculating on my partner’s face.

I didn’t think not being able to ejaculate in my partner was something I got a huge amount of dysphoria from. It was definitely something I’d noticed, but I always figured it was pretty low down in the list of ‘things that give me bottom dysphoria’. But having now tried an ejaculating dildo and experiencing quite how much gender euphoria it gives me, I’m reordering that list. I’ve seen ejaculating dildos marketed as ‘good for transmasculine people’ a lot before (even if these recommendations and reviews seemed to lack actual transmasc perspectives), and from what I knew of myself had definitely expected something gender-y to happen. Just not to the extent that it actually did!
