  1. G-Spoon! star rating

Texture and material construction: The G-Spoon Medium Gold Glass G-Spot Dildo by Fucking Sculptures is a beautiful, hand crafted piece of art. My G-spoon is 6.5 inches long with about 5.5 inches of insertable length and it has 1 inch of girth at its widest point. Please note that because these toys are hand crafted each will be a bit different.

The finish on this piece looks almost metallic but when held to the light turns a beautiful golden amber color. The glass itself is hard and quite sturdy. Unless one drops it on a hard surface there should be no concerns about it breaking.

Regarding its design, the G-Spoon swoops into a curve on one end of the toy to target the G-spot and loops at the other to provide a bit of a handle. The top of the toy has three shallow indentations that run along the length. I’m guessing is meant to give the toy a bit of texture though I found I couldn’t really feel it in use. Besides those groves the toys is completely smooth and needs little to no lubrication for comfortable use.

Overall it is a beautiful and extremely well made toy. I will say though, for such a well-made glass toy it was disappointing to see that it came with an unpadded bag. For such a quality, and lets be real, kind of pricey product, one would think that the company would provide storage that might actually protect it from damage.

Review Details: The G-Spoon Medium Gold Glass G-Spot Dildo, as I said before, is a beautiful toy. On the surface it seems to reflect a variety of colors: greens, blues, browns and at the right angle even purples. The colors seem to shift with the light. The metallic nature of the toys surface actually makes it quite difficult to describe. When first looked at it, I was left wondering why it was called “gold” when there are so many colors. However, after I put it directly up to the light I suddenly understood. The entire sculpture turned this gorgeous deeply golden amber color. Direct light just sets this toy on fire visually and I absolutely love it. It’s one of my favorite toys to look at.

Unfortunately, in use I found that it didn’t quite live up to its G-spotting name. Although it does have a slight curve, it was not extreme enough to directly hit my G-spot. At first I thought maybe I just wasn’t warmed up enough for the G-Spoon to be as effective as perhaps it could be. With this in mind, I switched to a toy that consistently makes my G-spot purr. Once I knew my G-spot was fully aroused I switched back to the G-Spoon but still didn’t get the sensation I needed. I tried different angles, short strokes, long strokes but it simply didn’t have enough of curve to directly hit the spot.

Now, its inability to hit my g-spot does not mean I did not like the dildo. I actually liked it quite a lot for basic thrusting. Although the groves in the toy couldn’t be felt during use, the smoothness and hardness of the toy felt really good. I love hard smooth dildos to clinch around while I stimulate my clitoris and this worked really well for that. My only regret when it comes to using this as a thrusting toy is not getting the large. Not necessarily for girth (though I do often like a girthy toy) but for the length.

This dildo was much shorter than I expected, which when I think about it now makes sense because the G-spot is usually only a few inches into the vagina so it doesn’t really need to be super long. However, for thrusting it doesn’t give you much room to work with because a good amount of the insertable length is taken up by your hand holding the toy.

As I mentioned, there is a loop that is there to help you grip the toy; however, it’s so small that you need to hold onto the shaft of the toy as well if you want to thrust. If I had gotten the large, which is usually longer, I think I would have an easier time. However, that problem is due to my own lack of foresight.

My only other complaint really is with the bag the toy came in. I won't lie, the G-Spoon is not a cheap toy. When you pay for this product you are making an investment. An investment in beauty, in craftsmanship, and in pleasure. Because of that, I would expect that the makers would give you a storage bag that would actually protect your investment. The bag they provided was simply a thin over-sized cloth drawstring pouch which ultimately would do nothing to protect your toy. At the very least I would hope that it would be slightly padded considering it is a glass dildo. I honestly don’t use the bag provided by the company and recommend finding alternative storage.

Overall though I do like the G-Spoon. For G-spotting it didn’t quite fit my anatomy but the beauty of the toy and the smoothness when thrusting means it will still remain a regular in my sex toy rotation.
