Sexational Reviews The Fuze Alpha Silicone Dildo

The Fuze Alpha is the newest in Fuze’s line of dildos: non-porous, sterilizable silicone that is designed for optimal strap on or solo use, these products have some of the most thoughtful design details I’ve seen on a dildo in quite awhile.

The most noticeable detail on these products is the base: looking from below, it’s an almond shape: round at the top and extending beyond the diameter of the dildo into a blunt point. From the side, you see it’s slightly curved and has ridges along the entire base. These ridges are to help you hold on to the toy when using it solo or when holding it , and are meant to be stimulating to someone with a clitoris who is using it in a strap-on.  This of course will not work for everyone: some may not get any enjoyment out of the sensation, and others may find that the product doesn’t rest against their clitoris when used in their strap-on harness. When using this in tandem with the  Spare Parts Joque, I find that the rounded point of the base grinds up against my clit in a pretty pleasing way, but I don’t experience much from the ridges. Depending on how you’re physically set up and how the dildo rests in the harness you use, you may or may not get some action from this feature.

The insertable portion is girthy and about average length at 6.5” insertable  and 1.5” in diameter along the shaft and about 1.75” in diameter at the widest point on the head of the toy. In shape, it evokes an idealized penis: a prominent head and a subtle rippling on the shaft which upon closer inspection you notice to be gentle veins. The whole thing is in the same density of firm, shiny silicone in black- there are no other color options. There is a visible seam along the top and bottom of the toy, but it can’t be felt except on one small part of the head of the toy.

The toy is angled interestingly- rather than creating a 90° angle with the base, it has more of a 50° or 60° angle, which means the toy stands erect in a harness. Though it’s not at as an extreme angle as the Vamp Silicone Talula2 , it’s enough to make a big difference in ease of use3 .

It also features a cavity for a standard bullet or mini vibe; interestingly, it has little raised lines of silicone in the cavity and it’s also a matte silicone, making it much easier to insert and more importantly remove your bullet from the cavity- one of those thoughtful design details I mentioned and one that made me more excited than you’d think were possible about something so subtle. It can be really difficult to remove a bullet from your toy if you don’t use some water based lube or a dusting of cornstarch, and these small changes make it a lot easier, meaning lube and cornstarch are unnecessary.

Though you could use just any standard sized bullet or mini vibe, I highly recommend using the We Vibe Tango or Salsa: since they’re super strong and thumpy, the vibrations carry through the whole toy rather nicely; using the Alpha in tandem with the Tango created a toy with much stronger vibrations than many internal vibrators I’ve seen. The Tango and Salsa are also rechargeable, which means you don’t have to fuss with the little button batteries that die quickly like you do with many other vibes of appropriate size. With the cavity next to the base, it’s also a great compliment to the stimulation you may be getting from the texture there.

The firmness of the silicone coupled with its girth and the prominent bump the head creates makes this one mean g-spotting toy; if you’re a size queen who likes firm toys and pressure on your g-spot, this is an ideal candidate for your toy box- you may be able to use it if you’re not as much of a size queen, but you’ll definitely need to warm up with a smaller toy first. As far as I’m concerned the angling, awesome bullet cavity, and possibility for more stimulation for a harness wearer make this or one of the other Fuze dildos a must have for harness users.
